General Terms & Conditions (GTC)

1. Booking & Payment
Bookings are binding upon confirmation and require full payment in advance via our booking system.

 

2. Cancellation & Refunds  

  • Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the tour minus a 5 CHF processing fee per booking. 

  • No refund within 48 hours of the tour or in case of no-show.  

  • Free rebooking up to 24 hours before the tour, subject to availability.  

  • In case the tour is cancelled by Bern Bites (e.g. due to weather, illness, low attendance), a full refund or alternative date will be offered.

3. Liability

Participation in the tour is at your own risk. Bern Bites is not liable for any accidents, injuries, illness, loss, or damage that may occur during the tour, unless caused by gross negligence.

We also accept no liability for allergic reactions, food intolerances, or food-related illnesses. While we do our best to pass on allergen information provided by our partners, we cannot guarantee the complete accuracy of ingredients or prevent cross-contamination. Participants with allergies or dietary restrictions are responsible for informing us in advance and taking necessary precautions.

 

4. Force Majeure  
We are not responsible for changes or cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. natural disasters, public transport strikes, pandemics).

5. Applicable Law & Jurisdiction 
These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Bern, Switzerland.

Terms of Participation

By joining a Bern Bites tour, participants agree to the following conditions:


Punctuality is essential. The tour begins at 10:00 AM at the Zytglogge (Clock Tower). In case of late arrival, the tour may proceed without the participant and no refund will be issued.


Physical condition: The tour involves walking through the city. Participants should be in suitable physical condition and wear appropriate footwear.


Allergies & dietary restrictions: It is the participant’s responsibility to inform Bern Bites in advance about any food allergies or intolerances. We will do our best to accommodate, but cannot guarantee complete avoidance of allergens.


Weather: The tour takes place rain or shine. Please dress appropriately.


Personal belongings: Participants are responsible for their own belongings during the tour.
